Really clever idesa from {in good company} - Pretty up a jar with a cupcake liner and elastic band/ pretty ribbon.

Find a mix of plain and floral cupcake liners, get some ribbon and glue. Fold each one over the ribbon and glue down. Simple and so sweet!

polka dot cake

Isn't this brilliant!
From {once-upon-a-pedestal}

magnet wall

How COOL is this for a kiddies room! Banking this idea for future reference! Also love the colourful garland.

Materials needed: One custom cut piece of sheet metal, nails, hammer, cardboard, lots of alphabet letters!
Step 1: Make Holes. Lay the sheet metal over the cardboard. Take a nail and hammer it into the sheet metal until a hole is created. Repeat on the corners and every few feet along the edges.
Step 2: Have someone hold the sheet metal up to the wall and starting at the bottom put a nail into the hole until it is flush against the wall. Move upwards making sure there are no gaps or holes between the wall and the sheet metal.
Step 3: Add the letters to create a giant magnetic alphabet wall.

PS: Don't you just love the pom pom bunting!

just arrived in the post

I must admit, I was rather disappointed with this book. I was expecting allot more exciting and different party DIY but there really wasn't anything that I hadn't seen on another blog/ pintrest/ a magazine. It comes with a whole lot of pretty papers, but nothing really amazing. Nevertheless, it will be put to good use especially with my sisters baby shower coming up soon.

cookies and cream fudge

Not sure about you but I am a seeeerious fudge lover! Nothing beats the ol' traditional fudge but this certainly sounds like it would come extremely close!

Super simple recipe too so definitely going to give it a try!

Ingredients
500 grams white baking chocolate
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
3 cups Oreo cookies, chopped

Instructions
  1. Line an 8 x 8 inch pan with wax paper.
  2. Put white baking chocolate and sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over low heat and stir frequently until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in Oreo cookies. Pour mixture into the prepared pan. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until set. Slice and bring to room temperature before serving.
